Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online, followed by a hands-on session. Successful blended learning can reach students with varying learning styles and in different environments. It combines the flexibility of online training with skills practice and testing for CPR or ACLS. This must be completed prior to your scheduled hands-on skills practice and testing session.
Once registration is received you will be issued a course key code to complete the online course (Part 1) and instructions. Students may access all material included in the online portion for 24 months following initial activation of their course key. Online courses can take students approximately 90-100 minutes to complete for CPR or up to 6.5 hours for ACLS, depending on their level of experience.
Skills session (Part 2/3) is a hands-on session that takes approximately 10-15 minutes. The hands-on skills practice and testing session are conducted in-person with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.
**You will need to print a copy of the completion certificate from Part 1 and bring it to your skills session to complete the skills session hands-on portion.
